Had a wonderful experience at the port! Our server gave us a great and thorough overview of the menu and was she very sweet and attentive (as was the rest of the staff). We had the crab bruschetta, shrimp pad tai, and mahi stuffed with crab imperial. Everything was very delicious. This was our first time trying pad tai and it won't be the last!

This place is really bad. Poor service and owner was right there sitting at the bar. We went with another couple on a Thursday night just before Christmas for the pad thai. Very few customers in the place as locals must know. The place is essentially a bar that is on the run down side. No beers on tap, bottle only. My wife ordered a glass of malbec. We planned to use a groupon but were told it could not be used for the pad thai"special" which was specially priced at about $15. We paid full price (Like $19) for the mediocre pad thai but they did apply the groupon which zeroed out its value. Prices for wine are not listed on the menu. We were surprised when the bill came and were charged $13 for a small glass of $9 a bottle malbec!!! We complained and the owner reduced the price to $8. This was a ridiculous experience almost on the laughable side as it was so bad., Do yourself and avoid this place. I think it is now closed for the winter. Plenty of other restaurants close by that are way better.

Very bad service. Nice staff but very unknowledgeable and poor customer service. We wanted to have dinner on a Friday night, they were understaffed, and we never got seated. We ordered wine at the bar, and got ill from it. Too bad! Hopefully things improve.

A very nice local place, a little further down from the clusters of bars and restaurants, but their food is fantastic. I had the pad Thai and i was skeptical going in since they aren't a Thai restaurant, but the pad Thai duly delivered. The owner was also bartending and he was extremely nice and friendly. Only reason I didn't give this place 5 stars is because their drinks are very pricy, food too but the quality makes up for the charge. Also the place is on the smaller side, it's fairly dark in there, and the dining room had a weird smell. But I would recommend this place.

Forgetable. Not bad but just not worth going back. Food is ok maybe best part. It is fresh and clean but flavor and technique are what are really off the mark. No beers on tap, just bottle, small dark dining room. Btw Thai noodles not good, they are edible Hutu just stopped for 10 for 20 deal - but won't be back

If you want a wholesome and healthy meal, this place is it. I'm pretty sure the only type of meat you can really get here is turkey. They're open for breakfast and lunch and serve great wraps and smoothies. If you're in a rush, it's probably better to not come here since they take their time making the food and bringing it to you.

My family and I went back to Port for dinner this summer while on vacation. We were not as impressed. Our service was still very good but the food was lacking. My shrimp scampi was very bland and everyone else's meals were ok. Nothing really stood out.

I don't know if I could eat here, it smells like someone's grandma's house. Port offered bacon banana bread pudding for the bacon festival. I don't even like bread pudding, but it was amazing! But Robert Irvine needs to go in there and tell them this place smells like mold, mildew, and mothballs. The restaurant itself is a 2 but the bread pudding was a 4, so overall score of 3.

Simple enough: I came here tonight (last night now) with my girlfriend craving some good seafood. She ordered the crab cakes and I got the salmon. Tasted great and we left quite satisfied. Fast forward 1 hour: my girlfriend is throwing up everything. We literally had nothing to eat for hours before dinner, so there's only one possible cause: the crab cakes. Whatever happened in the kitchen went horribly wrong tonight. We were first in the door at 5, so somebody messed up right off the bat. I only hope others tonight didn't get sick as well! Now over 6 hours later my girlfriend is still throwing up. What a terrible way to end a great vacation. NOTE: our waitress was GREAT, so our service experience was definitely in point. I wish I could give some more stars for that, but seriously, food poisoning deserves no stars.

Sitting here right now. Owner was extremely rude. They sat us at 745 and as we were sitting the owner came up to us and harshly said that the staff was leaving at 830 prompt. It felt like he was confronting me for a bar fight. As a side note, all the specials of the day don't list the prices and are 50 pct more expensive...feels underhanded.

How does this place not have a million reviews yet? Ladies and gentlemen of Yelp, feast your taste buds on this refreshing novelty in Dewey. American and Thai cuisine combined into the best dinner of my summer. Great food, great location, great service!

Perhaps Port Dewey is not as good in the "off-season," but I cannot fathom how it received such rave reviews given my experience last week. I got there around 5:30 for an early dinner, and the place was totally empty. That should have been a clue because even mediocre Dewey/Rehoboth restaurants have SOME patronage in the winter. The meal started off poorly when our waiter forgot to bring our drinks to the table; I watched the bartender make them, but then the glasses just sat on the bar for about 15 minutes. Unacceptable in an empty restaurant. I ordered the pad thai and my gf got steak (in a port wine sauce) and mashed potatoes (she originally ordered broccoli, and the waiter was unaware that the kitchen was out of it). She ordered the steak medium rare, but it came out well done...not sure how the chef could have messed it up considering our meals were the only two he had to prepare. Perhaps that occurred because the waiter neglected to check if the kitchen had broccoli in the beginning. Additionally, our waiter informed us that the chef prohibits A1 steak sauce in the restaurant. Minus points for the chef's conceit. I will never return to Port Dewey.

Known for pad Thai but really sub par missing key ingredients like peanuts and cilantro with only two shrimp in the shrimp and chicken. We used a gift certificate and were told the special price pad Thai was not included but after looking at the bill we thought one dish would only be full price we questioned the wait person who told us no. The waiter sent the owner over without us asking for him. We were then berated by the owner telllings to read the certificate next time. Are you for real? We are three professional women one who owns a business. This owner need anger management class or just class. And a new chef would help! Steer clear of this place and it has no parking lot.

Absolutely amazing seafood. The server was so helpful and not shy about making suggestions. It was a bit on the pricey side considering it's Dewey Beach, but definitely a nice break from the typical tiki bar and frat boys.

The food is average. Prices are a little high. Like another said on review pad Thai with 2 shrimp. For 20.00. That's a lot. Menu needs a change up...

This little place in Dewey serves up the best Thai food ever. Better than a true Thai place. Though their menu is more eclectic and they have amazing juicy steaks, fresh ahi tuna apps, etc, the Pad Thai and Beef Thai Basil are outstanding! Pick a spice level between 1 &10 and out come a good portion of yum! Cocktails are delicious. Staff super friendly, especially owner Mitch King who is fantastic! Located at the end of Dewey, it's so worth leaving main stream Rehoboth for a great experience!

We went to Port last month for what we expected to be a great meal, just as it was last year. We were "greeted" by complete rudeness by I'm assuming the owner, Mitch. He was nasty, lacked people skills and appeared totally irritated we were there to dine at his restaurant; not what one would expect to be greeted by, especially by the owner! Going against our gut instinct, we stayed and were thankfully well taken care of my our waitress. While the food was very tasty, the portion sizes were much smaller than last year's serving of Pad Tai was half the bowl. We left satisfied with our meal and our very sweet waitress, however we do not plan to return based on our experience with the owner. He was beyond rude and acted like he was too busy or important to want to help anyone, including his staff. After reviewing other reviews on Trip Advisor, Mitch's behavior that night was not an isolated incident; many other diners complained of being treated rudely, feeling attack when questioned about something and made to feel small and inferior. Even Mitch's user name on Trip Advisor should make you question his integrity; he goes by Squirrel, which brings to mind Squirrely! UPDATE; I have been monitoring reviews of Port and continue to see negative remarks regarding the owner Mitch. I encourage you to look at Trip Advisor before going to Port. It seems Mitch's behavior is getting worse and worse as the summer goes on. Not sure if its the sunshine and people on vacation, or what, but this guy does not warrant paying customers to dine at Port and be treated so rudely!

Decent food. A little expensive for what it was, though. There was live acoustic guitar/singer that was annoyingly loud and hurt the ambiance. Nice wait-staff.

BEST pad thai I have had at the beach since I moved there part time last year. Have only eaten there twice, but now that Summer 12 is fading, I will go back, because each time, the service was very good and that pad thai was WOW- delicious.

This was our first visit to the Port in Dewey, although I am no stranger to the area, and we enjoyed our meal. The only down side I found is that everything came out so fast...we were barely finished with our appetizer when our main course hit the linens. At least on the bright side we knew our meals were fresh and cooked to order.....the service was great our waitress was pleasant and professional even when we had a complaint, nothing major there was dust or something floating in one of the glasses of wine....she immediately took the glass back and returned with a fresh glass....a short time thereafter either the manager or bartender unknown which came over and apologized profusely about the wine. All in all I am confident that the Port is going to get us back there again and again......if your in the area check the place out.......

This place is the best place to go for dinner in Dewey Beach! Not only was the food and drink amazing, but the atmosphere and the staff were wonderful. We went there for my friends 30th and we had the best time EVER. The entire staff, including the owner, the owner of the Port were so much fun. If you go in, ask for Randy. Great waiter and doubles as a tour guide to the area. You absolutely must go to the Port if you are in Dewey. You will not regret it!

If you are in Dewey then Port should be on your "to-do" list. Great food, great atmosphere and a staff that is truly welcoming. As soon as we sat the owner Mitch delivered shots to our table! Ask to be seated in Charles section because he was super friendly and competent! the bartender Randy makes the absolute best ruby red crushes in Dewey. If you go to Port be prepared to have fun!

Ok. I really don't write bad reviews very often, but when it comes to dinner on vacation.... this is serious business. When i go to the beach I'm looking for seafood restaurants to give me what I can't get in Pittsburgh. We went to Port on a recommendation from the front desk worker at our hotel. Later that night, my boyfriend and I reconsidered everything she'd ever said to us. Let me also say that though I'm not a foodie or a food snob in any way, I do cook quite a bit and I know what good food is. This is NOT it. Let's start with our own stupidity. We went there on a Tuesday night around 8 during the last week of July. We walked in to find employees standing around and a total of ONE table in the entire place. Bad sign during the busiest time of the year at the beach? I'd say so... but we sat down anyway. We ordered cocktails. His was "ok". My martini was supposed to be some fruity citrus pleasure. If it wasn't Tang and vodka I'll eat my bathing suit. Gross. For appetizers we got calamari which was nicely fried but the dipping sauce they gave us was scarcely more than tomato paste. We also got the tuna which was just ok and, frankly, the best part of the meal. For our entrees we got the crab "stuffed" shrimp and the seafood etouffee. My first thought when our food arrived was "where's the rest our food?". My boyfriend's etouffee consisted of a scoop of rice with a handful of langostinos and maybe 3-4 shrimp in a pinky orange sauce that held no trace of anything that EVER came out of NOLA. Though it didn't taste BAD after adding a ton of salt, it was by no means etouffee. Very disappointing. Had I been so lucky with my meal I might not be spending a summer day writing a review of this place. My plate consisted of a little dish of soupy crab "dip" with 8 or so tiny overdone shrimp on the edge of the dish. Not good. Not nearly what I expected. I'm almost embarrassed at the number of crab stuffed shrimp I've eaten in my day.... these were horrifying to even look at. Then I took a bite and got a mouthful of shell. I spent my meal sifting through the "crab stuffing" trying to find a piece of crab and avoiding shells. Onto the "parmesan garlic mashed potatoes" I had as my side. I have no words for how bad these were. No trace of any flavor at all and a texture that is not of this world. I have had generic instant mashed potatoes that were 100x better than these. Honestly shockingly bad. How do you mess up a potato?? We took bite after bite of them just trying to figure out what the "chef" had DONE to them to make them that bad. And not to be picky, but even my asparagus was overdone and bitter. When the waiter asked how our food was and we told him it was the worst meal we'd ever had, he said that it was because their head chef was off and there was a line cook doing all the work that night. Just as we were signing our bill, the manager came over to speak to us. He was very nice, but blamed the awfulness on a prep team and a blip or two in the kitchen. I seriously doubt that's the issue. He ended up comping our meals and we spent around $40 on the cocktails and appetizers. $40 (plus a tip for the poor teenage waiter I felt sorry for) for the worst meal of my life. Aaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhh... beach memories.

We were delighted to find so many good reviews for Port and a $10 for $20 voucher to top it off! It was within walking distance of our hotel. The atmosphere inside is charming and cozy. Our server was new but was very helpful and accommodating. The hush puppies were delicious. The crab cakes are to die for!! I got shrimp and crab imperial which wasn't too bad, but I wished I'd gotten the crab cakes. Bananas foster for dessert was the perfect way to end the evening. My only complaint is that they were out of scallops that night. We would definitely return to this restaurant on our next trip to Dewey!

Hidden, yes. Worth finding, absolutely! We went here because we had a coupon and, oh my, were we surprised. The food is excellent. They even had kids menus. Crab Bruschetta - yum. The seafood etoufee - I almost ordered a second bowl it was so good. My wife had salmon and she said it was some of the freshest she's ever had. We can't wait to go back.

Some friends and I had dinner there last night and were all pleasantly surprised. The food was great and our service from Brianna was wonderful too. I collect pint glasses with restaurant logos and when I asked the bartender (who turned out to be the owner) if I could buy my water glass, he gave me a clean one and said I could have it. We'll definitely be back.

I starting coming here to meet friends for wine and drinks. I am a young professional/business owner, a Washingtonian, and consider myself a foodie. One of the things I look for as a client of a restaurant is consistency. This place has got it! Port is a year round establishment, the atmosphere can change depending on the time of day, it's small, quaint, a bar and a small restaurant. Come early for a fantastic meal with Mom, or come late for a drink and meal with your friends. Mitch, one one of the owners/managers really knows his wine, he puts a lot of effort into picking wine with an appreciation for them and always seems to have something new on the list. What I admire most about many establishments in this area is that some of the owners really do like what they do. Its apparent by their success that Zach and Mitch really love what they are doing, it's reflected in their service and their fantastic food. I recently had a Ribeye with Crab Imperial topper, another night the Soft Shell Crab Stuffed with Crab imperial. Both plates were not just fantastic, they were stellar! In summary, Port is a laid back dining atmosphere, presentation is simple.Their creativity is in the food, the wine, and the apparent energy they devote to pleasing every single person who walks through the door. If you appreciate these small things, coupled with fantastic food and wine, you won't be disappointed!

Best dinner I've had in Dewey in several years, although that's a relative statement. Perfect if you don't feel like going up to Rehoboth. Well-prepared seafood dishes. An excellent soft-shell crab and a respectable crab imperial-stuffed flounder. Great bisque and hushpuppies. Really hope it's still here when we're back next summer.

This place was good for Dewey Beach! A nice sit down restaurant! Had the hush puppies and they were the best I've ever had!!!! Ahi tuna was so so... But the fish fingers and spring rolls were good. The creole New Orleans style gumbo was great but they rate the spiciness from 1 to 10... We got a 8 and were repeatedly warned of the spice strength. The gumbo was a lovely coconut milk base bit no where spicy yet flavorful. Overall with the food and the acoustic music and a few checks at out table by the very young manager as a fun night with great food... In Dewey!!!!

Four stars for food and server. 3 stars = "just fine!" for dining room layout and cleanliness. 2 stars for the price for what we ordered. Yikes! Food was great! Our server was great too. :) Our table ordered: Jalapeño hush puppies Chicken and rice (striracha added) Fried shrimp Vegetable pad Thai Really good Decent fish tank to look at. We arrived too early to stay for the Elvis impersonator. We thought that would have been a fun experience, but we were too hungry to wait to get to dinner; then he just wasn't getting started and we were done eating so went back to hotel. If we had been able to hear him at all and if it had been amusing / decent, I might have upped this to 4 stars. We love live music. The only gripe is, the price. We did order 3 adult beverages along with our food. The check was nearly $100 before adding the tip! Yikes! We don't think the food was THAT good. And we didn't order anything fancy at all. All basic normal stuff. The owner of this restaurant also owns a distillery. DDC. So they have their own brand of rum. That was pretty good stuff mixed with the ginger ale.

I went to this place is September of 2014 but only now created a Yelp account.. I showed up to this place because it was boasted as a "whiskey bar". We were ignored at first while the waiter/owner talked to his buddies. Just as my girlfriend and I were about to leave, the man begrudgingly acknowledged us and asked what we wanted. I asked for a run down of the whiskey he served and he pointed at the bottles and said that's what we have.. mind you, he only had about 3 brands and they weren't anything special. The owner was rude through the entire exchange and we ended up Walking out hungry, thirsty, and irritated by the pompous owners "better than thou" attitude. Check the trip advisor reviews and you can see this jerk's replies to the customer criticism!

I have to start by saying I am probably a bit biased. Port sits right in front of my condo in Dewey Beach, so we are hoping they will stick around for awhile. Since they are so close, we go in and out of there quite a bit. Often 2-3 times in a single weekend. We have tried several items on the menu, as well as the daily specials, and have enjoyed them all. The fried oysters are a treat and the seafood portions are generous. Their wraps make for a yummy lunch. Back around Easter my husband had the biggest single softshell crab I have ever seen...and it was tasty too. The cocktails are innovative: I love their blood orange crush and margaritas made with fresh squeezed lime juice. My one complaint is that sometimes they seem to be a bit overwhelmed. And although we have not experienced it, I have heard over and over from several of my local friends that they like the food, but did not like waiting for it.

Chicken & shrimp pad thai was delicious! We had the crab bruschetta again and it was just as fresh and flavorful as it was on our previous visit.

I am a BIG BIG BIG fan of the Port. It seems like it's a new place -and it is adorable, and pretty darn fantastic. We found it on a Wednesday nite - where they had pub trivia (akin to quizzo), and the Phillies (the bars in Dewey seem split between Baltimore allegiance and Philadelphia allegiance). The food was delicious (not on their menu - but one of the best things I ate there - was the homemade potato chips. Also really like the salad I had, the drinks they made (including a freshly made tangerine crush - unlike the orange crushes made everywhere else), and the other foods all seemed great. The staff was really nice, the ambiance was great, and the patrons all seemed to be regulars. My friend had the bisque, which she appreciated greatly - and a drink called the jungle juice that was only $2 on happy hour special! I recommend stopping in here if you are around Dewey!!

Hands down the best overall food in Dewey! Great Prices, the have great daily specials. Great atmosphere, staff (Except Mitch he's a pain in the....(only kidding), and live music. Favorite two items on the menu are the Pad Thai, and any of the oyster dishes. But the steak and fish dishes are excellent, as well. Definitely worth a try if you are from out of town, at any time of the year.

Horrible service, can't give any stars. Messed up order twice; had to walk back twice and correct the poor performance of the wait staff and chef. A place where the customer is never right, and only the opinion of the bartender is accurate...and this is take-out. If you're looking for horrible service this is the place for you. By the way, no receipts nor the ability to resolve the issue!

We just spent a couple of nights in here and absolutely loved it. Saturday night 3 of us stopped in around 11pm for a few drinks. We sat at the bar and had a few quiet drinks and a chat with Mitch. Very pleasant host he was and it's a cozy little bar/restaurant. We arranged to go back the next night to have dinner and watch the USA v Portugal game. Our table for 11 was all set up for us when we arrived at 5pm. We shared a bunch of appetizers and they were all excellent. State wings were sweet and spicy, fish fingers brilliant with an amazing dipping sauce. Jalapeño hush puppies , buffalo tenders, crab bruschetta and spring rolls were all great as well. Everybody loved their entrees, filet mignon cooked perfectly, Brazilian steak, stuffed chicken, pad Thai , kids meals. Not one complaint from any body and the plates were almost licked clean. Service was excellent too, everything arrived at the same time and at perfect temperature. Drinks kept flowing and we had a great view of the game. Shame about the last 30 seconds but it did not spoil an excellent night that the whole family enjoyed. Mitch handed out little USA flags for the game, the kids loved it and they kept the patrons amused with their U....S......A chants.

A nice dinner... Nothing overly notable, but nothing bad either. Service was good but you could tell that the waiter serving the table next to us knew a lot more about the menu than our waitress. Fried oysters were cooked perfectly and lightly breaded, but the topping was heavy handed. Pad Thai was notable (best of the dishes we ordered). Lobster lemongrass soup was very good, even by thai standards, but they used crawfish instead of lobster. Grilled flounder lacked flavor... Seasoning would have helped. Seafood Alfredo was enjoyable and surprisingly light, but it could have used some more seafood. 3.5 stars to be exact - I'd go back, but not for a night that I wanted anything exceptional (unless I was dying for some solid pad Thai)

Small place. I can't imagin trying to get a table here on a holiday weekend. The waitress the kinda person who takes pride in her job, and it showed. She presented the menu items extremely well and gave great recommendations. I would say that the fried oysters with blue cheese and hot sauce might be my new favorite thing. They were awesome. I got the pad thai and it was probably the best I've ever had. If you are debating on where to go in Dewey, there is no doubt this is the place to go.

Oh boy. this review is like the good, the bad and the ugly. Port might be the best restaurant in Dewey Beach, but that is a reflection on the competition, not on Port. Mostly, this restaurant offers amateurish service for amateurish patrons with some decent food. If you point out to a server that technically, your drink should arrive before your entree (30 minutes after ordering) you youthful, helpful server will point out that they are pretty busy and down one server, so they are doing the best they can. Then, as you eat, you will feel like you have a ring-side seat at human race-track. Young men carrying huge red buckets full of ice will race past you to the other side of the bar, and back again. Waiters *actually* run with the entrees. It is quite the energetic experience. Weirdly, the (grown up) owner is walking around, checking out how people are doing things. Evidently, to him, all of this amateur hour activity is normal. If you want to know why we go, please go yourself and order a Thai dish, prepared by the Thai chef. Wow! 'Nuf said.

The Pad Thai shrimp was good but the shrimp were not cleaned ( still had vein in them). Oysters were smothered with wing sauce so I could not taste the oysters. Calamari was terrible...must have been freezer burnt. Wings were very good. Decor is a little tired. Holes in walls, etc.

We went on "Thai Thursday" so we had the spring rolls and pad thai. The pad thai is good, but different than any version I have ever had before. The chef grew up in Delaware but his family is Thai, so his cooking is influenced by both. My friend had the stuffed flounder which was delicious and a perfect portion. Dessert was a berry pound cake and fried brownie, both were fantastic. Cannot wait to go here again.

The food at Port Dewey is awesome! We started out with the oyster appt, which was very good. I then had ordered the soup of the day which was a crab soup and really was out of this world. For our entrees we had ordered the crab cakes and the stuffed flounder. Both was fabulous. The crab cakes had no fillers and were the best I have ever had. Port Dewey is highly recommended!

This is definitely a hidden gem at the beach and also the last thing I expected to find in the little town of Dewey Beach. Everyone here knows each other, the chef is as authentic as it comes, and the owners have been in the business for years...so they know what's up. Take the draft beer for example. Have you ever seen beer fill a cup from the bottom?! They make it happen here! You'll want to try the pad thai for sure, but there is so much more to enjoy. Have an Orange Crush while your at it! Ask for Mitch. He'll see you straight.

We decided to check out Port after we received a recommendation from a friend based on the Pad Thai (my all-time favorite food!). Needless to say, we weren't disappointed. We arrived early happy-hour on Friday and grabbed two seats at the bar. The bar tender was friendly and reasonably attentive. After a quick review of the menu, we decided to go with a Thai-inspired night: An order of spring rolls, the lobster and shrimp lemongrass soup, and an order of chicken and shrimp pad thai (oh, and an order of jalapeno hushpuppies, just for good measure :). The spring rolls were excellent--the dipping sauce absolutely divine-a perfectly balanced blend of rice wine vinegar, sugar, oil, peanuts, and cilantro. A perfect start to the meal. The soup came next and definitely did not disappoint. While I could have handled more spice, the flavor of the broth was well balanced and brightly acidic. The soup had a great amount of big, fresh shrimp and two healthy-sized lobster claws. A real winner. We ended with the pad-thai, which we ordered at spice level 8 (a 1-10 scale). The pad thai was beautifully plated with a very nice portion of chicken and shrimp. The sauce was flavorful, but not quite as complex as my favorite (Bangkok House in Wilmington!). Overall, it was a great meal. As a bonus, we decided to stray from the thai-inspired menu and ordered the hushpuppies--they were excellent (though I could have used more jalapeno). We met some great people at the bar, including the owner who chatted us up about distilling and brewing. A great happy hour experience--we will definitely be back.

Great service, perfectly cooked meal. I loved the options for the catch of the day! Choose how you want it cooked, then choose your sauce/topping! Our waitress offered excellent recommendations for combinations. Nice options for wine by the glass. It's not a big place, doesn't take reservations, and the bar is pretty small. We went pre-season, not super busy. I can only imagine how busy it is in the summer, but worth the wait. Best food I've ever had in Dewey.

We were seated quickly, but had to wait an hour and a half for our food. The Thai entrees did not even resemble Thai food, it was a salty mess. The 2 people in my group who got seafood entrees thought their food was just okay. Would not go back.

We couldn't even get service at Port!! After reading all of the reviews, we ordered a coupon on restaurants.com . Thinking that Monday night July 2nd, would be a good night to check it out. 1st off, we called when we were close by port, because we couldn't figure out where to park(everywhere in the area is permit parking during prime season). The girl that answered the phone told me that there is "metered parking on the street just north of Port" so I said great see you in a few minutes. We drove around for 10 minutes to find that there is a metered parking LOT next to port....and that the metered lot only takes credit cards...so we paid $2.50 to park...OK..so as we were walking in the door of port...a guy was walking out...and he says to us."I hope ur not planning on eating here?!" my husband and I just look at each other..and we said yes we were.. The guy said good luck....it took us 2 hours to get served. and their chef just walked out! I looked in the dining room and There were still people sitting at tables... As we walked up to the hostess...she informs us that they were all out of everything on the menu....and then my husband chimes in and said Yeah, it doesnt help that the chef walked out....and we had just called and whoever answered the phone could have told us this before we paid to park to eat here! The hostess just chuckled and said sorry! Since we already paid of 2 hours of parking...I asked her to recommend another place close by for dinner...she suggested The Cove, which was in the same parking lot as port...It was amazing! The service was great! Even though it was now almost 10 pm on a Monday night! They still had a few tables with people....I had the best scallops and my husband had the tuna which was very good! So I would skip Port restaurant and go right to the cove in Dewey beach!!

(5)Jared J.

(1)Daniel A.
Absolutely amazing seafood. The server was so helpful and not shy about making suggestions. It was a bit on the pricey side considering it's Dewey Beach, but definitely a nice break from the typical tiki bar and frat boys.
(4)Shawn D.
The food is average. Prices are a little high. Like another said on review pad Thai with 2 shrimp. For 20.00. That's a lot. Menu needs a change up...
(2)Pbprep M.
(5)Matt D.
Hands-down the best restaurant in Dewey Beach. The food and service is incredible. I went with a group of 10 people and I think they all would agree
(5)Samantha B.
(2)Jason L.
Decent food. A little expensive for what it was, though. There was live acoustic guitar/singer that was annoyingly loud and hurt the ambiance. Nice wait-staff.
(3)Craig F.

(5)Brian B.
PORT is THE best beach restaurant in Dewey. Small town crowd with metropolitan taste. Put this one on ur "To Do" list
(5)Kay T.

(4)Chris B.
(5)U T.

(5)Sam B.
(4)Brian S.
(3)Taian C.
great food, nice seafood pasta, good service, dont know why the rating is not above four star
(5)Jodi B.
(3)Tim R.
(1)Regina M.
(4)Adrienne D.
Chicken & shrimp pad thai was delicious! We had the crab bruschetta again and it was just as fresh and flavorful as it was on our previous visit.
(4)Aruna A.
(5)Jason C.
(4)Brent W.
(1)Willie F.
(5)Justin B.
(3)Chris R.
(5)Amy K.
Oh boy. this review is like the good, the bad and the ugly. Wow! 'Nuf said.
(2)Cy B.
(2)Amanda R.
(4)Meigling N.
Just called to talk to the manager trying to make a reservation, asked for his name and he was rude, asked me how can i help you as you can hear I'm too busy to talk, I guess you are too busy to help your customers too. I will be be going somewhere else
(1)Susie B.
We love Port! Great food and drinks. Really enjoy the live entertainment, and the staff's attentiveness!
(5)Brian B.
(5)Renee B.
Great food and service! We tried the calamari, crab cakes, Caesar salad, seafood Alfredo and peanut butter pie. All were excellent.
(5)Joe K.
(5)Malina S.

Nice clean restaurant. Yummy pad Thai. Very friendly, helpful waitress. Fried oysters were delicate and flavorful. Could have done without the Tabasco for me but my partner liked it. Would return again.
